A BX ring joint gasket is a metallic sealing ring designed for the corresponding high-pressure flange groove system. KASIN lists BX-designated gaskets for oilfield connections, including products identified with API 6A specifications and particular ring numbers. The BX number and mating groove are central to correct ordering.
The website lists individual examples including BX-158 RTJ gasket and BX-169 RTJ gasket. Material offerings shown across products include soft iron, carbon steel and selected nickel alloys. These are different specifications, not options that can be substituted without engineering review.
BX rings are ordered to a particular groove and sealing arrangement; the wrong ring number can prevent proper flange assembly. For oilfield equipment, drawings often identify both the API connection and specific BX ring designation. Preserve that identifying information when requesting quotations, especially if the flange is part of an existing wellhead or valve assembly.
Provide the ring number, flange pressure designation, drawing or standard, material requirement and the operating medium. API references on specific listings do not automatically certify every gasket in the category.
