Carbon steel ball valves are commonly considered for on/off service in compatible water, oil, gas and process lines. KASIN’s range includes forged carbon steel products in two-piece and three-piece construction. Material selection must account for corrosion conditions and operating temperature, as well as nominal line pressure.
A 6000 psi two-piece carbon steel ball valve represents one high-pressure design. The three-piece forged carbon steel valve has a different body assembly. The pieces of the valve body are not the number of fluid ports: both designs may be used for straight-through isolation depending on the model.
Carbon steel is not a universal choice for all chemicals or water qualities. Depending on exposure and process conditions, internal corrosion, external weathering and seat compatibility may influence the valve’s expected service life. Compare the complete valve bill of materials—not only the main body—to avoid an unsuitable selection for the site.
Check end connections, seat and stem seal material, required pressure class and any corrosion allowance or material restrictions. For another material option, compare stainless steel ball valves. KASIN’s service and ordering information page covers general sample and shipping inquiries.
