Flanged ball valves use bolted end connections and are selected where the piping specification defines a flange pattern, face and pressure class. KASIN lists ASME Class 150 and Class 300 industrial valves as well as a JIS 20K floating ball valve. The flange interface is as important as the valve internals when integrating a replacement into an existing line.
The ASME Class 150 flanged ball valve and JIS 20K floating flanged ball valve represent distinct connection specifications. ASME and JIS bolt patterns cannot be assumed interchangeable.
Pressure-class nomenclature must be read together with the applicable flange standard; the same class number in different systems does not make connections interchangeable. Bolt-hole pattern, face type, gasket and allowable temperature should be reviewed as a complete joint. This is particularly important when retrofitting a valve into an existing plant.
Confirm flange standard and face, nominal bore, pressure-temperature rating, body material, ball and seat type, and actuation method. A sound quotation request includes the existing pipe specification and operating medium. For other end connections, see high-pressure ball valves or review service and ordering information for procurement details.
