Stainless steel ball valves are used where material compatibility and resistance to the operating environment influence valve selection. KASIN lists stainless steel two-piece forged models and flanged industrial ball valves. Individual product pages specify construction and connection details; stainless steel alone does not establish the correct pressure or temperature rating.
The stainless steel two-piece forged ball valve is one example. For a bolted pipe interface, see the 300LB stainless steel flanged ball valve. Selection should consider the flange standard as well as the body material.
Stainless steel grades vary in corrosion resistance, and fluid temperature can also limit the suitability of nonmetallic seats. Before specifying a valve for an aggressive medium, verify the chemical composition and potential chloride exposure with the process engineer. A material match alone does not guarantee that the stem seals and seats are compatible.
When ordering, identify the fluid composition, chloride or chemical exposure where relevant, temperature range, pressure class, nominal bore and seat requirements. Material grade and sealing components are both critical. For the wider industrial range, consult high-pressure ball valves and KASIN’s service and ordering information information.
