The DIN11851 Seal operates through a simple yet highly effective compression-sealing principle within a DIN 11851 union assembly
Placement – The D-seal gasket is placed into the dedicated groove on the male part (Gewindestutzen) of the DIN 11851 union
Alignment – The liner (Einlegestutzen) is brought into position, aligning its sealing face with the gasket
Compression – The slotted nut (Nutmutter) is tightened using a hook spanner (C-spanner), compressing the gasket between the male part and liner
Sealing – The D-shaped cross-section deforms under compression to fill the sealing gap completely, creating a crevice-free, leak-tight seal
