The DIN Blank Liner DIN-14B operates as a sealing component within a DIN 11851 sanitary union system:
Union System Integration – The DIN system consists of four key components: DIN-13 (Nut), DIN-14 (Liner/Welding Liner), DIN-15 (Male), and DIN-16 (Blank)
Connection – The blank liner (DIN-14B) is installed at the end of a piping run, serving as a termination point
Sealing – A DIN-style gasket (D-shaped profile) is placed between the blank liner and the mating fitting, creating a hygienic, leak-proof seal
Securing – The DIN-13 nut is threaded over the connection, compressing the gasket to form a pressure-tight seal
Flow Blocking – The blank liner effectively blocks fluid flow, isolating the piping section for cleaning, maintenance, or system modification
This design provides a permanent yet serviceable seal, combining the reliability of a welded connection with the flexibility of a removable fitting.
