The DIN 11852 Union Nut DIN-13 operates as the fastening mechanism within a DIN sanitary union assembly:
Assembly – The DIN union consists of four key components: DIN-13 (Union Nut), DIN-14 (Welding Liner), DIN-15 (Welded Male), and a sanitary gasket
Placement – The DIN-13 nut is positioned over the union connection, encompassing the liner, male fitting, and gasket
Tightening – Using the slotted round nut design, the nut is tightened with a spanner wrench, compressing the D-section gasket between the liner and male fitting faces
Sealing – The compression creates a hygienic, crevice-free seal that prevents leakage and maintains sanitary integrity
Disassembly – Simply loosening the nut allows for instant disassembly for cleaning, inspection, or process changes
This design provides a secure yet serviceable connection, combining the reliability of a permanent joint with the flexibility of a removable fitting.
