Tri‑Clamp / T/C Connection – Standard clamp‑end connections on both sides enable quick, tool‑free installation and removal without welding or threading
Pneumatic Actuation (SIG/20) – The SIG/20 pneumatic actuator provides compact, high‑torque operation with visual position indicator and optional solenoid valves for remote control
Hygienic 316L Stainless Steel Construction – Body and disc are manufactured from 316L stainless steel with a surface finish of Ra ≤ 0.8 μm (electropolished) to prevent bacterial adhesion
Crevice‑Free Design – Seat‑retaining design with no dead zones ensures complete drainability and supports CIP (Clean‑In‑Place) and SIP (Sterilize‑In‑Place) procedures
Multiple Actuator Configurations – Available as normally closed (air‑to‑open), normally open (air‑to‑close), or double‑acting to suit your fail‑safe requirements
Wide Size Range – Available from DN 25 to DN 150 (1" to 6") to accommodate various flow rates
Versatile Seal Materials – Seals available in EPDM, FPM (Viton®‑compatible), or PTFE to match process media and temperature requirements
Visual Position Indicator – Standard visual indicator shows valve open/closed status at a glance
High Pressure & Temperature Range – Suitable for operating pressures up to 10 bar and temperatures from ‑10°C to +150°C (depending on seal material)
Automated Process Control – Pneumatic actuation enables remote on/off or modulating control, reducing manual intervention and improving process efficiency
Hygienic Integrity – The 3A certified design ensures full cleanability and sterility, meeting the highest sanitary standards for food and pharmaceutical production
Quick Installation & Maintenance – Tri‑clamp connections allow rapid installation and removal without special tools, minimizing downtime
Energy Efficient – Low‑friction disc and sealing design require minimal actuation force, reducing air consumption
Versatile Compatibility – Suitable for a wide range of media including liquids, slurries, gases, and viscous products in dairy, beverage, biotech, and chemical processes
Long Service Life – High‑quality 316L stainless steel and robust actuator construction ensure reliable operation over millions of cycles
Fail‑Safe Options – Spring‑return actuators provide safe position in case of air supply failure (NC or NO), enhancing process safety
Easy Integration – Standard T/C dimensions ensure plug‑and‑play compatibility with existing sanitary piping systems
Low Maintenance – Simple seal replacement and accessible actuator components reduce maintenance time and costs
The Pneumatic Sanitary Butterfly Valve T/C Air‑Actuated operates on a straightforward yet robust principle:
Air Supply Connection – Compressed air (typically 4‑7 bar) is supplied to the SIG/20 pneumatic actuator via solenoid valves or manual control
Actuator Rotation – The air pressure moves a piston or diaphragm inside the actuator, which rotates a shaft connected to the valve disc
Disc Rotation – The disc, positioned in the flow path, rotates 90° from fully closed (perpendicular to flow) to fully open (parallel to flow), enabling quick shut‑off or full flow
Sealing – An elastomeric or PTFE seal around the disc ensures a bubble‑tight shut‑off when closed, preventing leakage
Feedback & Control – The visual position indicator shows the disc position; optional position sensors or limit switches can provide remote feedback to the control system
Fail‑Safe Action – In spring‑return actuators, the spring forces the valve to the normally closed or normally open position upon loss of air pressure, ensuring safe process condition
Cleaning – During CIP/SIP cycles, the valve can be actuated open/closed to allow cleaning fluids to reach all internal surfaces, ensuring complete sanitation
This design enables reliable, repeatable, and automated flow control in hygienic environments, reducing human error and improving production consistency.
