Featuring Tri‑Clamp (T/C) connections on both ends, this valve enables tool‑free, sanitary installation into any standard tri‑clamp piping system. How It Works

The Pneumatic Sanitary Butterfly Valve T/C Air‑Actuated operates on a straightforward yet robust principle:

  1. Air Supply Connection – Compressed air (typically 4‑7 bar) is supplied to the SIG/20 pneumatic actuator via solenoid valves or manual control

  2. Actuator Rotation – The air pressure moves a piston or diaphragm inside the actuator, which rotates a shaft connected to the valve disc

  3. Disc Rotation – The disc, positioned in the flow path, rotates 90° from fully closed (perpendicular to flow) to fully open (parallel to flow), enabling quick shut‑off or full flow

  4. Sealing – An elastomeric or PTFE seal around the disc ensures a bubble‑tight shut‑off when closed, preventing leakage

  5. Feedback & Control – The visual position indicator shows the disc position; optional position sensors or limit switches can provide remote feedback to the control system

  6. Fail‑Safe Action – In spring‑return actuators, the spring forces the valve to the normally closed or normally open position upon loss of air pressure, ensuring safe process condition

  7. Cleaning – During CIP/SIP cycles, the valve can be actuated open/closed to allow cleaning fluids to reach all internal surfaces, ensuring complete sanitation
