BS4825 Part 5 Compliance – Manufactured to BS4825 Part 5 dimensional standards, ensuring perfect fit and reliable sealing performance
Multiple Material Options – Available in EPDM, NBR, HNBR, Silicone (VMQ), FKM, and FFKM to suit diverse application requirements
FDA & 3A Certified – All materials are FDA food contact approved and 3-A Sanitary Standards certified for hygienic processing
Metal Detectable Options – Available in metal detectable EPDM and Silicone with ferromagnetic additives for x-ray visibility and metal detection, supporting HACCP procedures
Wide Size Range – Available from 1" to 4" (and custom sizes upon request), with internal diameters from 26.7mm to 93.9mm and 6.6mm cross-section
Broad Temperature Range – Service temperatures from -60°C to +260°C depending on material selection
Superior Sealing Performance – Provides a reliable, leak-proof seal in RJT sanitary unions, preventing product contamination and maintaining system integrity
Hygienic Design – O-ring style gasket minimizes dead spaces and supports CIP (Clean-In-Place) applications in sanitary piping systems
Easy Installation & Replacement – Simple drop-in design allows for quick and tool-free gasket replacement during routine maintenance
Foreign Body Contamination Prevention – Metal detectable options enable detection of seal fragments as small as 5mm³ by metal detectors and x-ray inspection systems, demonstrating due diligence to auditors
Versatile Application – Suitable for dairy processing, beverage production, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotech, cosmetic, and chemical industries
Long Service Life – High quality elastomer compounds provide excellent resistance to hydraulic oils, steam, acids, and weathering
The RJT O-Ring Seal functions as the critical sealing component within an RJT sanitary union assembly:
Union Assembly – An RJT union consists of four components: a round slotted nut, a male part, a liner, and the O-ring gasket-
Positioning – The O-ring is placed between the male part and the liner within the union assembly, creating the sealing interface
Compression – When the RJT nut is tightened, the O-ring is compressed between the sealing faces of the male and liner components
Seal Formation – The compressed O-ring forms a hygienic, leak-proof seal that prevents product leakage and contamination
CIP Compatibility – The O-ring design allows for effective cleaning-in-place, as cleaning fluids can flow through the union without disassembly
