The Mod.SIG/22 operates on a simple quarter-turn mechanism. A precision-machined spherical ball with a through-bore is positioned inside the valve body between two PTFE seats-. When the stainless steel lever handle is rotated 90 degrees, the ball rotates within the encapsulated housing:
Open Position – The bore aligns with the pipeline, allowing full, unrestricted flow of media
Closed Position – The solid face of the ball blocks the flow path, creating a bubble-tight seal
The encapsulated design isolates the process fluid from external contaminants while the live-loaded stem packing maintains consistent seal compression, ensuring reliable shutoff even under varying temperature and pressure conditions.
