The Sanitary 3-Way Ball Valve Manual Mod.SIG/42 operates on the quarter-turn ball valve principle. A spherical ball with precision-machined ports (L-shaped or T-shaped) is housed within the valve body. Rotating the manual handle by 90° aligns the ball's ports with the inlet and outlet connections, directing flow according to the selected configuration.
L-Port Configuration: The ball features an L-shaped passage. When the handle is turned, flow from the center inlet is diverted to either side outlet, or two separate inlets can be directed to a common outlet – functioning as either a diverter valve or a selector valve.
T-Port Configuration: The ball features a T-shaped passage, enabling mixing of two inlet flows into one outlet, or splitting one inlet flow between two outlets.
The manual handle provides visual position indication – when the handle is parallel to the pipeline, the valve is open; when perpendicular, it is closed-. The live-loaded stem seals maintain consistent sealing pressure, automatically adjusting for thermal expansion, contraction, and normal wear.
