The Sanitary 2-Way Ball Valve Manual Mod.SIG/39 operates on a simple quarter-turn mechanism. A precision-machined spherical ball with a through-bore is positioned inside the valve body between two PTFE valve seats.
When the manual handle is turned 90 degrees (quarter-turn), the ball rotates within the valve body:
Open Position – The bore aligns with the pipeline, allowing full, unrestricted fluid flow through the valve
Closed Position – The solid portion of the ball blocks the flow path, providing tight shut-off with zero leakage
The full-bore design ensures that the opening in the ball matches the pipe diameter exactly, enabling pigging (cleaning with a solid projectile) and uninterrupted flow when the valve is open. The manual handle provides clear visual indication of the valve position, and the lockable mechanism allows the valve to be secured at the desired opening setting.
