Spring-Loaded Disc Mechanism – Ensures rapid, positive sealing to prevent reverse flow immediately upon pressure drop.
Weld End Connections – Provides leak-proof, permanent integration into pipelines with no threaded crevices that trap bacteria.
316 Stainless Steel Construction – Superior corrosion resistance and durability for aggressive or high-purity media.
Highly Polished Internal Surface – Minimizes product adhesion, eliminates dead spaces, and facilitates easy cleaning.
Compact & Lightweight Design – Fits into tight spaces and reduces installation complexity.
Low Cracking Pressure – Opens with minimal forward pressure, ensuring uninterrupted flow and energy efficiency.
Wide Temperature & Pressure Range – Suitable for -20°C to 150°C and pressures up to 1000 PSI.
Maintenance-Free Operation – The simple spring-loaded mechanism has no external moving parts, ensuring long service life with zero maintenance.
The Sanitary Spring Check Valve Mod.SIG/80 operates automatically based on differential pressure. When the upstream pressure exceeds the spring preload and downstream pressure, the forward flow forces the disc off its seat, allowing fluid to pass through the valve. As soon as the upstream pressure drops below the downstream pressure or flow ceases, the integrated spring instantly pushes the disc back onto the sealing seat, closing the valve and preventing backflow or reverse flow. The weld end connections ensure a seamless, permanent seal to the pipeline, eliminating potential leakage points.

Q: What industries use the Mod.SIG/80 sanitary spring check valve?
A: This valve is widely used in food and beverage, dairy, brewing, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, biotech, and fine chemical processes requiring hygienic backflow prevention.
Q: What are weld end connections, and why choose them?
A: Weld ends are permanent pipe connections that provide leak-free, crevice-free joints. They are ideal for high-sanitary applications where threaded or clamped connections may introduce contamination risks.
Q: How does the spring affect valve performance?
A: The spring provides a consistent closing force, ensuring the valve shuts immediately when forward flow stops, even at low pressure differentials. Cracking pressure is factory-set to allow easy opening with minimal resistance.
Q: Is the valve cleanable in place (CIP/SIP)?
A: Yes. The polished internal surfaces and no-dead-leg design make the Mod.SIG/80 fully compatible with CIP (Clean-in-Place) and SIP (Sterilize-in-Place) procedures.
Q: What is the maximum operating temperature and pressure?
A: The valve handles temperatures from -20°C to 150°C and a maximum working pressure of 1000 PSI (depending on size and configuration).
Q: Can the valve be installed in any orientation?
A: For optimal performance, we recommend horizontal or vertical-up installation, though the spring design allows operation in other orientations with minor adjustments.
Q: Does this valve require regular maintenance?
A: No. The mechanically simple, spring-loaded design has no external actuators or seals to replace, providing virtually maintenance-free service under normal operating conditions.
