How It Works

The 14AM7 Tri-Clamp Long Weld Ferrule operates as a transition component between welded tubing and tri-clamp connections:

1. Welding – The ferrule is butt welded to the end of a stainless steel tube or pipe, creating a permanent, leak-proof joint

2. Surface Preparation – The welded assembly is polished to achieve the required surface finish (minimum 32 RA) for sanitary applications

3. Gasket Placement – A sanitary gasket is placed between the ferrule face and the mating tri-clamp fitting, creating a hygienic seal

4. Clamp Securing – A tri-clamp is tightened over the ferrule ends, compressing the gasket to form a leak-proof, pressure-tight connection
