45° Flow Direction Change – Provides a moderate turn that effectively redirects fluid while maintaining smoother flow and lower pressure loss than sharper elbows
Tri-Clamp / Quick-Clamp Ends – Both ends are equipped with standard clamp ferrules, enabling tool-free assembly and disassembly for rapid line access and maintenance
Hygienic Crevice-Free Design – Smooth, polished internal surface eliminates dead zones, minimizing contamination risk and supporting CIP/SIP cleaning
Superior Corrosion Resistance – Constructed from stainless steel (304/316L) with excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and sanitizing agents
High Pressure & Temperature Rating – Rated for up to 250 psi at 70°F, and compatible with steam sterilization temperatures
Reduced Pressure Drop – The 45° bend creates less turbulence and frictional loss compared to 90° elbows, improving pumping efficiency and energy savings
Gentle Product Handling – Ideal for shear-sensitive fluids, suspensions, or viscous products, as the milder angle minimizes product degradation
Fast Installation & Maintenance – Clamp connections require no welding or threading – simply tighten with a standard clamp and gasket for a reliable seal
Exceptional Cleanability – Smooth, gap-free surfaces and easy disassembly allow for thorough cleaning, reducing downtime and cross-contamination risks
Versatile Compatibility – Standard tri-clamp dimensions ensure interchangeability with existing sanitary fittings and equipment
Cost-Effective – Reduces installation labor costs and allows for quick line reconfiguration without special tools
The 2KMP 45D Clamp Elbow operates on the same proven tri-clamp principle as other sanitary fittings:
Alignment – The clamp ferrules on both ends of the elbow are placed against matching ferrules on pipes, valves, or other components
Sealing – A sanitary gasket (typically EPDM, silicone, or PTFE) is inserted between the ferrule faces to create a tight, hygienic seal
Clamping – A tri-clamp is positioned over the ferrule ends and tightened, compressing the gasket uniformly to form a leak-proof, pressure-rated joint
Flow Redirection – The 45° body smoothly diverts the fluid path at a moderate angle, reducing directional shock and maintaining flow stability
Quick Release – Loosening the clamp allows instant separation for inspection, cleaning, or process changeover – no tools required
